Pre-order FAQ

What does pre-order mean?

The MG Series is made to order. You pay today, which reserves your pair in the production run, and your gloves ship in 6–8 weeks. You'll get an email when your order is confirmed, when production finishes, and again with tracking the day they ship.

Why not just wait until they're in stock?

Pre-order pricing is lower than launch pricing — between $20 and $40 less depending on the weight. When the run closes, prices go up and stay up.

When exactly will my gloves arrive?

6–8 weeks from your order date, plus shipping time. If production runs late, we email you before your estimated ship date with a new date and the option to cancel for a full refund. You will not be left guessing.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel any time before your order ships for a full refund, no questions asked. Email [email protected] with your order number.

What size should I get?

Read the Glove Size Guide. Short version: if you only buy one pair, buy 16oz — it's what most gyms require to spar. Still unsure? Email us your weight and what you train and we'll tell you straight.

What if the size is wrong when they arrive?

We exchange for a different weight within 30 days of delivery on unused gloves. You cover return shipping; we cover sending the replacement to you within Canada.

Are they real leather?

Yes. Genuine leather shell, not synthetic. It's stiff out of the box and softens to your hand over the first few sessions — that's the leather doing its job, and it's why the gloves last.

What does MG1, MG2 mean?

Every Mortal Guard design gets its own number. MG1 is the black cuff, MG2 is the red. When a run is finished we don't quietly reprint it, so the number tells you exactly which era you own.

What about MG3?

It's coming. MG3 will be revealed in black and white; no other details, price or date are announced yet. Join the newsletter at the bottom of the page to hear first.

Can I influence the next design?

Yes. On the Design your gloves page, tell us which gloves you want to see leave the workshop: glove type, discipline, details. When the next designs are revealed you'll be able to vote — and you'll hear about it first.

How much is shipping?

Canada: $12 (free on orders over $250). United States: $19.90. International: $39.90. All prices are in Canadian dollars; the exact amount is shown on the pre-order form based on your country.

How can I pay?

In Canada, by Interac e-Transfer: the instructions appear on screen as soon as you send your pre-order (note them or keep the page open), and we confirm receipt of your payment by email. Outside Canada, we email you within 24 hours with payment options (PayPal).

Do you ship outside Canada?

Yes — the US and most of Europe, Asia and Oceania. Import duties and taxes are charged by your country and are not included in your order total.
